The Bottleneck

Fast charging fails when the anode cannot accept lithium safely

At aggressive charging rates, lithium can deposit as metallic lithium instead of intercalating into graphite. This causes irreversible lithium loss, dendrite formation, impedance rise, swelling, cycle-life degradation, and safety risk.

Our Origin

From IIT Bombay roots to industrial battery-material innovation

Voltrez Tech emerged from the IIT Bombay innovation ecosystem, where early work in lithium-ion and next-generation energy storage laid the technical foundation for the company.

Built by IIT Bombay alumnus Dr. Prasit Kumar Dutta along with Sunil Mehta and the Voltrez team, the company is now developing graphite-based anode technologies from Maharashtra, India, for safer and faster-charging lithium-ion batteries.
